The CCOO Union has slammed Orihuela Health Department for the ‘systematic illegal hiring of hundreds of workers’’. It claims to have asked the department why hiring is carried out outside of the employment rules of the Labour Exchange – and is still waiting for an answer two months later. The union believes around 400 workers are affected and is demanding the Ministry of Health urgently follows the legal employment procedures and stops violating workers’ rights.
