Firefighters were called to a truck on fire on AP-7 near Daya Nueva. The crew put out a fire that had engulfed a truck driving on the motorway towards Torrevieja at kilometre 738, in the municipality of Daya Nueva.

The fire started in the wheels of the truck and generated a lot of smoke. The flames then began to spread to others parts of the vehicle. According to the fire department, the driver tried to put it out with a fire extinguisher but the intervention of specialist firefighters was necessary.

The Guardia Civil supported the emergency procedure by regulating traffic in the area.
