Two electric scooters were thrown over the Levante Bridge, Orihuela, and into the River Segura. Local residents are used to finding the for-hire machines strewn over pavements, blocking drives and even left on pedestrian crossings. However, the throwing of scooters into the river has caused indignation and anger on social networks and has once again raised questions over whether the rental service is necessary in the municipality.
