Carmen Gómez, the Torrevieja Councillor for Urban Cleaning, has resigned after learning that two trials will investigate alleged crimes of mismanagement. The anti- Corruption Prosecutor has accused the councillor of administrative prevarication and requests a sentence of 12 years and disqualification from holding public office. In another case she is being investigated for ordering construction material for a park in La Siesta without a contract. A penalty of another 11 years is being called for.
