Local political party PIOC has written to the British Deputy Vice Consul in Alicante claiming that 10,000 letters explaining Voting Rights, addressed to permanent British Residents living in Orihuela Costa have not been delivered. Despite the letters being sent out by the Censo Electoral Oficina in Madrid at the end of November, the party claims that the voting information is still to be received by thousands of potential voters.
