Four people from an off-site parking company suspected of operating a scam at Alicante-Elche airport have been arrested by the National Police. A force spokesman said more than 100 vehicles were identified and state airport operator Aena has been defrauded out of around 6,000 euros in parking fees. The cars were left at the airport, not off site, and then a front driver with a ticket would drive through the barrier and several other vehicles would follow closely behind so they didn’t have to pay.
