Los Verdes, the opposition party in Torrevieja, has claimed that residents have missed out on 3 million euros in subsidies due to the current government. The city’s Mayor had previously claimed that the central government wasn’t providing the correct level of funding. However, Los Verdes, believe that ‘deficit’ mismanagement lies behind Torrevieja having the lowest income per inhabitant in the country, according to the National Institute of Statistics.
