A woman wanted for so-called ‘hugger muggings’ all over the country has finally been arrested in Alicante, according to the National Police. Courts the length and breadth of Spain had issued warrants for her arrest – even one in Mallorca. Most of her victims were elderly people and she would pretend to recognise them, and use a close embrace to grab jewellery, cash and wallets.
