The wooden walkway running along Benidorm’s Playa de Poniente is being replaced, with work starting this week. The current wooden surface has rotted over the years and is difficult for wheelchair users and pushchairs to use. The project is budgeted at €1.6 million and covers 1.5 kilometres. The project should be completed by June this year, in time for the summer season.
