A woman had to be rescued by firefighters while abseiling the Barranco de Sanes in the Orihuela district of La Aparecida. The 59-year-old was doing a guided rappel but lost control going down, causing her to hit the bottom. She suffered multiple injuries to her legs, back and head. A firefighters’ rescue group had to lift the injured woman with a winch to the rescue helicopter.
