National Police and Customs officials have dismantled a criminal gang dedicated to drug and tobacco smuggling. The initial customs investigation into tobacco smuggling led to a network that included marijuana plantations and international drug trafficking. Five raids in Torrevieja, Pilar de la Horadada, Orihuela and Molina de Segura, resulted in the arrest of nine people, six Spaniards and three of Polish nationality.
