Fatal work-related accidents have tripled in the Alicante Province in the last year. According to figures from the Ministry of Labour there were 12 deaths in the workplace in 2021 but this number rose to 34 in the 12 months of 2022. General accidents in the workplace are also on the rise with one thousand more last year, at 16,042, than the year before.
