Six municipalities in the Vega Baja have begun projects to reduce flood damage, financed through the Vega Renhace Plan. These investments are part of the regional grants presented in July 2021 exclusively for the 27 municipalities of the local area. In addition, twelve municipalities have already awarded contracts and will start the work soon. Of the six municipalities, Los Montesinos has already completed the first of the three projects it has planned.
