An Alicante nightclub owner and his accomplices are facing charges of attempted murder, after an arson plan to claim insurance money went wrong. The club’s owner and the owner of a hair salon in the same building coerced an employee to light a fire in the Babylonia nightclub. At the same time, they secretly started a gas leak, and the fire-starter was thrown into the air by a large explosion and according to experts could have been killed. The insurance policy was altered several times in the days leading up to the incident.
