New Equipment for Torrevieja Hospital

The University Hospital of Torrevieja has put out to tender works on the room to house new state-of-the-art magnetic resonance equipment acquired by the Ministry of Universal and Public Health. The project will cost 150,000 euros, with the new MRI Scanner valued at more than 790,000 euros. The new facility is expected to be ready for its first patients this year and will replace the current scanner, which is ten years old. Whilst the refurb work is being undertaken the hospital will continue to be able to provide MRI scans for patients in a mobile unit in the grounds of the hospital.
