A woman in her twenty’s has been arrested for using a bank card without permission and spending more than 5,000 euros on dining out, clothes, make-up and jewellery. The woman and her friend used the ‘contactless card’ of an elderly woman in her 80’s that she was staying with in Alicante. The fraud was spotted when the card owner’s son saw the transactions on a bank statement and reported the crime to the police.
