The Valencia Government has called for talks after the minister for social rights insisted that the national government must take action to halt rising prices in supermarkets. The Regional Minister claims that inflation is being made worse by the ‘speculation’ of large chains, who she accused of carrying out ‘ruthless capitalism’. She believes that many people can no longer afford to buy products which ‘are the best for them and their children’.
