Two 21-year-olds, one male and one female, have died in a motorbike accident on Avenida de Villajoyosa, one of Alicante’s main thoroughfares. The couple were travelling at high speed when they lost control of the 125cc motorbike and hit a lamppost on the central reservation. Paramedics rushed to the incident but both were declared dead at the scene. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
