A rubbish truck, specifically used for collecting cardboard for recycling, caught fire in Torrevieja near to the Park of Nations. Luckily, thanks to the speed of the fire crews there were no injuries and the vehicle was not completely burnt out. The fire started in the upper part of the truck where all the cardboard is stored and was caused by burning embers tipped into the rubbish. People are being asked to properly check that there are no hot ashes when they dispose of them.
