Passengers flying into and out of Spain on Monday may be subect to delayed or cancelled flights, as Spanish Air Traffic Controllers start the first in a series of strikes.
The airports of La Coruña, Alicante-Elche, Castellón, Cuatro Vientos, El Hierro, Fuerteventura, Ibiza, Jerez, Lanzarote, La Palma, Lleida, Murcia (Corvera), Sabadell, Seville, Valencia and Vigo will be affected, as controllers in these privatised towers walk out.
Unless an agreement is reached, there will be five days of strikes, every Monday between January 30 and February 27.
Minimum service levels have been agreed, but these are between 18% and 84%, according to the Ministry of Transport.
