The Prosecutor’s Office is requesting five-and-a-half-years in prison for the occupants of a vehicle stopped in Benjjofar containing counterfeit currency. Officers confiscated 14 one-hundred-euro bills and 52 counterfeit 50-euro bills. Spotting the police check ahead, the defendants threw the notes out of the window, but were spotted by the eagle-eyed officers.
