Recent figures show that travellers returned in their droves to Alicante-Elche Airport in 2022, with 13.2 million passengers. This shows a recovery of 87.7 percent of 2019’s pre-pandemic levels. Throughout last year, UK passengers dominated foreign arrivals at Alicante, with 4.6 million journeys, followed by the Netherlands with around 942,300 trips. Domestic passengers rose by 13.5 percent on 2019 numbers.
