Plans to build 1,000 homes in Mil Palmeras have met with strong objections. A number of local ecology groups have condemned the development planned for 159,000 m2 of land on the ‘second line’ of Orihuela Costa. The plot sits between Dehesa de Campoamor and Pilar de la Horadada. The plans are on public display until mid-January and opposers are already calling for the land to be reclassified as ‘undeveloped for special protection.’
