From Costa Blanca Daily…
Chicago, the musical, is coming to Madrid in October, brought to Spain by the same company behind the amazing stage shows, Mamma Mia!, Billy Elliot and Matilda.
Created by John Kander and Fred Ebb, from a book by Bob Fosse and Fred Ebb, Chicago, the musical, premiered for the first time in 1975, and years later, in 1996, Broadway paid homage and ended up becoming one of the longest-running musicals on the New York billboard.
The story explores themes of fame, sex, deceit, show business, and corruption in American society at the time. All this accompanied by iconic choreography and a spectacular soundtrack full of hit songs, such as: “All That Jazz”, “Cell Block Tango” and “Razzle Dazzle”.
One of the most successful musicals of all time, with productions around the world and a 2002 film adaptation starring Renée Zellweger, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Richard Gere.
You can book tickets for Chicago, the musical, now, for shows starting in Madrid in October, at the Teatro Nuevo Apolo (Madrid).
