The national average value of accumulated rainfall from the beginning of the hydrological year (October 1, 2022) to March 28, 2023 is estimated at 331 l/m 2, which represents around 17% less than the normal value corresponding to said period (397 l/m2).
The information was published this week by the state meteorological service, Aemet, who point out that the accumulated amounts are below their normal values ​​in the Cantabrian strip, except Galicia, a large part of the eastern half of the Peninsula together with the southern third and in the Canary Islands.
Normal values ​​are exceeded in areas of the interior and western third of the Peninsula, except Andalusia, in the north of Huesca, Mallorca and Menorca.
